1. Overview and Core Commitment
At YomuScan, your privacy is fundamental to how we engineer our product. We operate under a strict "private by default" principle: documents stay on your device unless you explicitly turn on cloud sync or team workspaces.
2. What We Collect and What Stays on Your Device
Scanned images, OCR extracted text, metadata, and local exports are processed entirely locally on your hardware. We do not transmit your scan contents to remote servers unless you initiate a cloud backup.
For account holders, we collect standard account metadata such as email address, subscription status, and non-identifying telemetry (e.g. app crashes, platform version) strictly to maintain service reliability.
3. Data Sharing & Third Parties
We do not sell, rent, or monetize your personal information or document contents to any third parties or advertisers. We partner with payment processors (e.g., Stripe) only to process billing transactions.
4. Your Rights and Data Deletion
You have full ownership of your data. You may delete your account and all associated cloud-synced files at any time via your account settings or by contacting our privacy team.
